So, I kept seeing these names pop up, Princess Love and Floyd Mayweather. Everywhere, you know? On my phone, random sites, people talking. Curiosity got the better of me, I guess.
Decided to figure out what the big deal was. Went online, started poking around. Clicked on a few headlines, scrolled through some feeds. Honestly, just fell down a rabbit hole for a bit there. Reading about the back-and-forth, the drama, the money talk. It’s a whole saga, seemed like.
Getting Sucked In
Spent maybe an hour, maybe more, just reading this stuff. Watched a couple short clips too. You see these lives, so public, so… much. Fights, making up, flashy stuff everywhere. It’s like a reality show but, you know, their actual life playing out for everyone, maybe?
And then I kinda stopped myself mid-scroll. Like, wait a minute, what am I even doing here? Investing actual time out of my day into this whole circus. Made me think, really. Started reflecting on how much energy people, including myself just then, pour into following folks they’ll never even meet.
Realization Hit Hard
It seriously reminded me of this phase I went through years back, got way too obsessed with some online community drama. Total waste of headspace, man. You read all this stuff, maybe get annoyed or worked up, and for what? Doesn’t improve your own life one bit. Just distracts you from what’s really in front of you.
You see these celebrity stories, like whatever’s going on with Princess Love and Mayweather, and it’s super easy to sit back and judge or just get weirdly fascinated. But at the end of the day, it’s their life, their choices, however messy or wild it looks from the cheap seats. My ‘practice’ here, if you can call it that, was mostly just recognizing again how easily I can get pulled off track by all the noise out there. Had to consciously just close the tabs and step away.
My main takeaway? Gotta keep your eyes on your own lane. Let them live their life, however public or crazy it seems. I’ve got my own projects, my own people, my own problems to sort out. Spending energy on their ups and downs? Nah, definitely not worth it for me. Learned that lesson the hard way before, and just got a reminder, I suppose. Just gotta keep focusing inward.
