Okay, so the other day I got into this whole thing about football positions, and it got me thinking, “how much do linebackers actually weigh?” I mean, they gotta be big, right? But how big? So, I started digging.
My Deep Dive into Linebacker Weights
First, I just did a simple search. Nothing fancy, just typed it into the search bar. And, you know, you get the usual stuff – articles, some forum posts, blah blah blah.
Then I started to get a little more, shall we say, systematic. I started keeping track. Here’s what I did:
- Looked at team rosters. I figured, why not go straight to the source? I started pulling up official team websites and just jotting down the weights of their linebackers.
- Checked out some sports websites. You know the big ones, the ones that have all the player stats. They often have height and weight listed, so I grabbed that info too.
- Made a simple list. Nothing fancy, just the player’s name and their listed weight. After a while, I had a decent-sized list going.
I am not gonna * took a little while, and my list got pretty long. After looking at all those numbers, a range started to pop out. I started seeing the differences. There were a lot of differences between all the players and their positions.
After looking at all that, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on it. It’s not rocket science, but it’s cool to see the actual numbers and how they vary.
