Well, well, well, let me tell ya about this gal, Samantha Irvin. Now, don’t go gettin’ all mixed up, she ain’t no ordinary person. She’s one of them WWE ring announcers, the ones who holler them big names before the wrestlers step into the ring. A lotta folks been talkin’ about her lately, ’cause she up and left WWE, just like that. Let me tell ya, it’s caused quite a stir, that’s for sure.
Now, Samantha, she wasn’t born into the wrestling world, no sir. She come from a small town, not too far from where I live, though I reckon she grew up a lot fancier than any of us. She was born back in 1989, over in Dennis, Massachusetts, to be exact. Eldest of six kids, if ya can believe that! Must’ve been a real busy household, I bet. They say she started playin’ music real young, just four years old. Can you imagine? Four years old and already strummin’ away on some instrument. That’s some talent right there.
Her music journey didn’t stop there, neither. She didn’t just play, she got herself into some big shows too. From 2011 to 2015, she was the lead singer for a Michael Jackson tribute show called “Thriller – Live.” Now, I don’t know about you, but I think that’s mighty impressive. If you ask me, she must’ve had some pipes on her. Then, in 2015, she went on “America’s Got Talent.” Can you picture that? Singin’ in front of all them folks on TV. She sang that “Natural Woman” song, and let me tell ya, she caught the eye of many. Might not have won the whole thing, but I reckon she made an impression. And that’s what counts, don’t it?
Now, how in the world did this gal end up in WWE? Well, let me tell ya, it wasn’t a straight shot. She didn’t start off as one of them big wrestlers, though she sure tried. She went down to the WWE Performance Center, auditionin’ to be a wrestler, but they didn’t pick her. That didn’t stop her though. She kept at it, and in 2021, WWE hired her as a ring announcer. And let me tell ya, she done good! Folks loved her! She had that energy, that style. Every time she stepped out to announce a wrestler, the crowd went wild. Some of ‘em even say she was makin’ $350,000 a year just to show up and say a few words. Now that’s more than a lotta folks make in a lifetime, let alone one year! And from what I hear, she wasn’t even workin’ every day. Sometimes, it was just once a week. Can you imagine? Talk about a cushy job!
But then, just recently, she up and decided to leave. Just like that, she says goodbye to WWE. She made the announcement on social media, thankin’ all the fans and the folks who supported her along the way. Folks were shocked, though. Didn’t expect it, that’s for sure. But I reckon if she’s done all she can do there, then it’s time to move on. She’s got her own life to live, after all. What’s next for her? Who knows, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she pops up somewhere else, maybe with a new gig or even back in the music world.
Now, there’s somethin’ else worth mentionin’. She got engaged to one of them wrestlers, Ricochet, in 2023. Can you believe that? They’re both in the same world, and now they’re a couple. I reckon they make a fine pair. She’s also got herself a daughter from a previous relationship. A lot of folks don’t know that, but she’s a mama too, juggling all that fame and family life.
So, what does all this tell ya about Samantha Irvin? Well, I reckon she’s someone who don’t let nothin’ stop her. She worked hard to get where she’s at, and now she’s movin’ on to the next chapter in her life. Whether she’s singin’ her heart out or announcin’ wrestlers in the ring, she’s got that spark that makes her stand out from the rest. It’s gonna be interesting to see what she does next, but I tell ya one thing – folks will remember Samantha Irvin for a long time, no doubt about it.
