Okay, so you know I’m always messing around with random stuff, right? Well, today it was all about Lexie Spiranac and Stanford. Don’t ask me why, just a rabbit hole I fell into.

It started pretty simple. I think I saw a picture somewhere and was like, “Wait, was she really at Stanford?” So, first thing I did was fire up Google. I mean, duh. Typed in “Lexie Spiranac Stanford,” and boom, tons of stuff popped up.
I started clicking through the usual suspects – Wikipedia, some sports sites, all that jazz. Scanned for the key words, looking for confirmation about Stanford. Found a bunch of mentions, but nothing super concrete at first.
Then, I dug a little deeper. Started looking for official sources. Like, did Stanford have anything on their athletic website? That took a bit more work. Had to sift through some old golf team rosters and stuff. Pain in the butt, honestly.
Eventually, I found it! A few mentions in old press releases and team bios. Nothing major, but it definitely confirmed that she was at Stanford and played golf there for a bit.
After that, I went down the rabbit hole of trying to find old pictures of her playing for Stanford. That was tough. Google Images didn’t turn up much. Had to get creative. Tried different search terms, filtered by date, the whole nine yards.

- “Lexie Spiranac Stanford Golf”
- “Lexie Spiranac Stanford Athletics”
- “Stanford Women’s Golf 2010s” (or whatever years she was supposedly there)
I even checked some of those online yearbook sites, thinking maybe there’d be something in the Stanford yearbooks from back then. No luck there though. Total dead end.
Ended up finding a few blurry, low-res photos on some obscure sports blogs. Nothing amazing, but hey, proof is proof!
Takeaways?
It’s amazing what you can find online if you’re willing to dig. And also, the internet is full of dead ends and misinformation. Gotta be careful what you believe. Always double-check your sources, folks!
So yeah, that was my afternoon. Lexie Spiranac, Stanford, and a whole lot of internet searching. Now, I’m gonna go outside and touch grass. Maybe.
