Okay, so I finally got around to tackling those Dream Nursery riddles in Genshin the other day. You know, the ones with the Aranara? Took me a bit longer than I expected, gotta admit.
First off, I had to actually find the place, which involved following that questline with Rana and the Aranara crew. Eventually, I ended up in Vanarana, the dream version, and met this little dude named Arakavi. He’s the one who kicks off this whole riddle thing, needing help to grow some special plants, the Vasmtri.
Solving Arakavi’s Riddles
So Arakavi gives you these riddles, right? They point you towards locations where you gotta do specific things. Honestly, the wording was a bit flowery, typical Aranara style.
The First Spot: “Stars in the sky…”
The first riddle mentioned something like “stars in the sky are reflected in the water” or close to that. So, I figured, okay, gotta find some water. I hoofed it over to the spot marked on the map. It was this area with a bunch of those stone pillar things, the ones you gotta light up in order.
- I looked around, saw the water nearby.
- Spotted those sealed stone things.
- Remembered seeing similar puzzles. Usually, you follow the pattern shown somewhere.
- I looked up, saw the constellation pattern in the weird dream sky.
- Then I just activated the stone pillars in the same order as the stars. Easy enough once I saw the pattern.
Boom, first one done. Got the item needed, felt pretty good.
The Second Spot: “A seed…”
The next riddle was about a seed, stone walls, and maybe something about paths? I headed to the next marked location. This one was a bit more confusing at first glance. It was near some ruins.
- Found the general area. Looked like a small cave entrance or structure blocked by a Dendro rock.
- I tried hitting the rock with Dendro first, nothing.
- Then I saw one of those bouncy mushrooms nearby, the ones you activate with Electro.
- Zapped it, bounced up high.
- From up there, I spotted a Dendrograna branch.
- Grabbed the Dendrograna.
- Flew back down and used a charged attack or aimed shot on the Dendro rock blocking the way.
That opened it up, solved the second part. Getting the hang of it now.
The Third Spot: “Inside the stone…”
The last one talked about something hidden inside stone, guarding a path. Went to the final map marker. This place had another one of those sealed mechanisms, but it looked different.
- Found the spot, saw a big rock with the green swirly patterns on it. The kind you need Dendrograna for.
- Looked around for the Dendrograna branch. Found it nearby.
- Grabbed the little green helpers.
- Went back to the big rock and whacked it with a charged attack.
The rock broke, revealing whatever was inside (can’t recall exactly, maybe just unsealed the final mechanism or gave the last item). But yeah, that cracked the third riddle.
Finishing Up
After solving all three riddles and getting the required thingamajigs from each spot, I headed back to Arakavi in the Dream Nursery. Handed over the stuff I collected. Then, I had to actually go into the nursery area and interact with the plots to plant the Vasmtri. Watched them grow, which was kinda neat.
And that was pretty much it. It wasn’t super hard, mostly just running around and using the right elements or Dendrograna on things. The riddles themselves were the main guide, just had to interpret their vague descriptions and match them to the mechanics in the area. Felt satisfying to get it done and help those little guys out.
